Grodan Group is a part of Rockwool Group. Grodan supplies innovative and sustainable stone wool substrate solutions for the professional horticultural sector. These high tech stone wool substrates are offered together with tailor-made advice and tools to support Precision Growing (the most efficient and effective method of growing) and thereby facilitating sustainable crop cultivation. Grodan solutions are, used for the cultivation of many crops, including tomatoes, cucumbers, sweet peppers, aubergines, roses and gerberas. Sustainability plays a prominent role within Grodan, from production of Grodan substrates to end of life solutions. Founded in 1969, Grodan is active in more than sixty countries worldwide with its head office located in Roermond, the Netherlands.

 

The Marketing Manager is responsible for the development and execution of marketing strategies and plans covering the area of Central, Eastern Europe and Export markets. Within these markets Poland holds a central position.

 

 The main areas of responsibility for this position are:

  • Development of marketing strategies aimed at positioning Grodan’s products, services and brands 
  • Implementation of marketing communication plans for assigned regions in close cooperation with the relevant sales team 
  • Execution of marketing activities according to approved plans: such as customer events, exhibitions, development of communication material, price-lists, direct mails and newsletters 
  • Making optimal use of the media mix available in assigned regions 
  • Carrying out market analyses and supporting the sales team by collecting market information about products, services, customer expectations and satisfaction levels
  • Taking ownership for the roll out of the Corporate Communication Plan 
  • Representing the region within the international Marketing Group 
  • Development and strengthening relations with communication agencies and customers, regular visits to growers representing each market segment 
  • Introduction of products and services to dedicated sales channels (or market segments) 
  • Responsibility for the marketing budget for assigned regions

 

The requirements to fulfil this position are:

  • ­A Master’s degree in Marketing or equivalent knowledge gained through working experience
  • A minimum of 3 years working experience in a similar function
  • Knowledge of operational marketing and affinity with sales activities
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in the local and English language
  • Able to work independently as well as in international teams
  • Knowledge of the horticultural business is a preference
  • Result and customer driven, entrepreneurial and the ability to think strategically
  • Willingness to travel frequently
